"Hunt" -- In the powerful conclusion of a two-episode story arc, Castle's efforts on the case suddenly put his own life in danger. Emmy and Golden Globe-winner James Brolin ("The West Wing," "Marcus Welby, M.D.") guest stars as Castle's dad, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25.

  2. Okay. From what I see, I think that Castle gets kidnapped when he is really in deep trying to find Alexis, and then he is about to be either: a) brought somewhere deserted in the middle of that forest or b) shot just like Sophia Turner would have shot him in 4x16. Then his father comes up in that black car and shoots all of the guys in balclavas with his bad-ass gun.

    I can`t wait to see the pictures for the first part, and I also can`t wait to see the episode. Hopefully we see some Beckett time trying to remain calm enough to save her man.

    1. Looks like Castle's delivering ransom money (maybe contrary to Beckett's recommendation). When he attempts to deliver it, they take it and decide to shoot him as well. Than Papa, aka Mr. Brolin, intervenes.

    3. Okay, but if Papa Castle kills the bad guys, then there is no way that Castle can get Alexis back, right? I bet that will create a lot of tension between the two of them.

  4. I just want to point out that the car on these photos has a French (Parisian) license plate. So this takes place in France, not far from Paris. ;)

    I can't wait to see Castle in a situation like this. I bet Nathan will be amazing in those scenes.

    1. wow - good catch! for some reason I missed that. So, we now Castle is in Europe. So, maybe Alexis is the other cast member in Europe? Id' love it if it wwere Beckett. BTW, these were shot locally, not actually in Europe tho right? I was never clear.

    2. Molly tweeted she was in France so it sounds like she's the lone cast member who actually gets to film on location. The rest of it is faked in and around LA.

    3. Technically, Molly tweeted she was boarding a plane, she'd met some folks from France, and she was surrounded by lots of accents, but that was after they'd finished filming the 2-parter; her travel is not necessarily Castle-related.

    This looks like it's going to be a good one!

    I am betting Castle is kidnapped trying to find Alexis and Beckett won't know where he is!

    What would be an interesting twist, but doubtful, is if she cashed in on the debt Bracken owes her and asks him to use his resources to help find Castle.

    That wouldn't happen of course. I can't see them mixing the JB arc in with the Castle father arc.

    Notice I said father. He'll have to earn the Dad title. Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad. I'd love to see Castle build a relationship with his father.

    I have to wonder if Castle will know this man is his father or will he be kept in the dark at the end and perhaps that's where some drama between Martha and Alexis come into play. I recall Tamala's interview hinting at some secrets and tension with the Castle family coming into play.

    I really am excited to see how this all plays out and what role Beckett will play into it.

    1. Stephanie, nobody went overseas to film...it's just a set location in LA. They don't have that budget...Andrew bikichkyconfirmed that...

      Also Molly boarded a plane somewhere during filming of ep 5.17, afterthe two parter...it's her own project orvacation. Nothing to do with castle. She didn't say where she was headed...

    3. It does look like its her! I looked at the picture more closely to see if it was her...it could be I'm not sure! I hope so! That would be so cool!!! Can't wait for this ep!!!!! As for questions regarding if Stana is in it just look at the press release for hunt.

  12. You know my bottom line about this season is I can think of 1 episode that I might have any desire to rewatch again 5 years from now..that was 5x01. I'll probably also watch Seasons 1-2.5 until the end of time, cuz they truly make me laugh! but the rest can go in the trash for all I care. I enjoy making fun of the show, but really, if it was cancelled, I'd find that amusing too.

    I find the fan base really interesting tho. It ranges from "cultists" to well, people like me, to people who don't even watch. The folks that don't even watch but still come here help me understand why I still come here even myself when I barely find the show tolerable anymore. At least I know I'm not alone in finding that people-watching of Castle is really, really amazingly interesting. No matter what group you fit into, you are more interesting to me than the TV show. I sincerely hope you're flattered. You are an intriguing (in a good way) group.

    I do wish people would stop personalizing a TV show so much. But I see the "personalization" everywhere, from fan sites to product sites. When you criticize their favorite thing, it's like you're criticizing them personally. It's a trait I seriously don't understand, but sometimes find amusing.

    I just hope that someday in the future, someone will take all the good points of Castle and roll them into a show that is sustainably more satisfying. THAT would be great television, for certain. I have my doubts that it will happen, but one can hope.

    Anyway, just thoughts.

I think they personalize because they relate to the show, the characters, their stories, their problems and how do they overcome obstacles. they love the show because it is light-hearted and romantic. It's not the best show on television, but it is their favorite. and you enjoy making fun of that? Wow, that's just mean
      i get that fans can be a really interesting subject for a sort of psychological study, but you still have to respect them
