ADAM: This awesome news wasn't enough? Fine, I'll let Jon Huertas share some more secrets. "Something crazy that I think people will be just so blown away by is that we're going to work with an FBI agent. That never happens," a cheeky Huertas says with a laugh. In all seriousness, the case, which involves the kidnapping of a Middle Eastern businessman's daughter, will be truly international. "It takes part of the team out of the country to Europe, which is something we've never done," Huertas says. Unfortunately, don't expect a romantic night out in Paris for Beckett and Castle, the latter of which will find his life in danger. "This two-parter is very scary for the team," Huertas says.

First LA (even though it is filmed in LA is takes place in New York), then the Hamptons, and now Europe! Woah. Cudois to the cast, crew and especially the writers and producers of the show.

NO! This is just a set! TV shows certainly don't have the budget to film outside the US! That would cost a fortune! So many films/TV-shows make the viewer believe the characters are in another country (Russia, France, Italy, Greece, or some Carribean Island or whatever) but most of it is all really shot in the US. That's the magic of film making!
DeleteAlso, they are filming the two parter RIGHT NOW, the 1st part is done, they started with the 2nd part today. And they are most definitely in L.A. There is a location shoot tomorrow around Santa Monica Boulevard.
The show has lost it's humor. I loved the quips and secret smiles of the pre sex shows. Bring the old writers back

Could Castle's dad BE the FBI agent?? Castle always speculated his dad was some big top secret agent...
ReplyDeleteNo because the FBI agent is played by Dylan Walsh and Castle's dad is played by James Brolin! Also, FBI isn't a top secret agency, but the CIA is. Sophia said his father is a CIA agent that's why Castle gained access to the CIA back when he did research for Clara Strike. We will see if this is true...

I can't wait for this. The more they divulge about this two-parter, the more excited I am. Kate is definitely going to be desperatly worried about Rick, and what I'm wondering is could we possibly get an "I love you" from her to him in this episode, either her blurting it out to him in her desperation, or in the end after he's safe? It would be so romantic. Who knows. I'm excited either way.

I expected the season to go exactly the way it has. You can't get ,uch depth and serious moments when you're trying to please your whiny audience.
Btw, I enjoy the dark and light and enjoying the series all 5 seasons, but I am so glad we're about to get the action and drama and some not so contrived ANGST and the eternal forces stregthening the bond Caskett and the rest of the characters have already.

Marlowe and Castle and Caskett rocks! Hopefully Marlowe doesnt listen too closely to this fandom again. I much prefer the show the way he had it before lightening things up a bit more than usual. I miss the blend of light and dark that seasons 1, 3, and 4 brought, but even S2 and S5 rock. This show is just good overall. Don't get the hatred from a lot of this fandom. It's been like that since S2 when some creid for them to be a couple even back then.
People have no patience these days!
Sit back, relax, go read fanfic for the physicality you despeately crave for or go watch a porn as Hart Hanson said (LOL) and enjoy the show!

DeleteI love the light and the dark in this show and I've been so much insulted at the time when I said that S04 - Eps 19-20-21 were those that I prefered because they made the show and the relationship moved on!!
The light just can be appreciated if the dark, before, is hard enough...
I'm missing some cool Caskett's moments in S05, but I don't care b/c I trust in Marlowe and I know That with the following dark eps will come a new light!!!

DeleteAlexis can only get kidnapped once. There needs to be some personal reason for a member of the team to travel to Europe, they're NYPD so they operate in New York only, unless they go rogue or something. So I think that Castle flies to Europe to save Alexis, probably with Beckett's illegal help, but he disobeys her when she warns him about some action not being safe, and he ends up in great danger. That's when his father shows up and saves the day using his contacts with bad guys of some kind, possibly Mafia. But the clock is ticking, they still haven't saved the daughter of that Middle Eastern businessman. Luckily, Alexis provides them with the final, most important clue - some conversation she overheard while being held hostage. At the end of the day, they need to explain themselves to the angry Capt. Gates and Castle needs to decide how he feels about his father. Martha gives her old love an emotional hug, while Alexis refuses to accept her grandpa at first because of his criminal activities. Castle ultimately forgives his father because, no matter what the other circumstances are, he has indeed saved Alexis' life. Soon after they shake hands, the mysterious father disappears again into thin air, not to be seen until the season finale.
DeleteI look forward to this. I love the drama but I also love Caskett. I know the Caskett moments come from the angst usually....I mean come on Always was mostly drama but we got the payoff at the end. I just hope we get a similar payoff at the end of these eps. I think it is time viewers got a little bit more on the relationship...not sex sex sex but just a bit more touching looks etc in each ep...kisses are good too we could use those....not to hard to just put in a goodnight kiss even in the elevator. Also time to have that discussion between them as to where they expect relationship to go..I mean if it is going nowhere then why did they bother.
ReplyDeleteHey, you crystallized the feeling I did not know I was having...I am one of THOSE people that would love to see a lot more intimate,passionate,can-not-get-enough-of-you uninterrupted and brightly lit Caskett moments. We would get more of that before they became a couple and it's not that the chemistry is gone, I still get chills when they look and touch each other(as brief and rare as those occasions are) but they are physically being kept apart more now than in previous seasons. Wait much longer and it will become inorganic. I know they are adults and not horny teenagers but they act more like poster people for Cialis than people that have found each other's perfect. Go ahead, chastise me with your rude retorts because I don't agree with you, I am a long suffering and faithful Castle fan so I can take it.But seriously, their relationship is the main ( not only) reason why I tune in. It does not take away from the fact that I truly love the supporting characters. So yeah, why bother? Okay,rant over.

I love this show and still get pumped every Monday for new eps and go through withdrawal when there aren't any new ones but recently I have found myself rewatching Always to get that high again. My resolve is strong and I am quite resilient and patient, obviously, I waited four years, but I do hope I don't get too brutally tested...fingers crossed. Here's begging the universe for more Caskett moments ( too dramatic? You're probably right) :))
I AGREE. IT IS OK TO WANT MORE CASKETT MOMENTS. IT DOESN'T MEAN WE HATE EVERYTHING ELSE IT JUST MEANS WE HAVE A FAVORITE ASPECT AND TRUE THE RELATIONSHIP NEEDS TO USE THE CHEMISTRY OR IT BECOMES DULL AND NO I AM NOT SAYING EVERY EP BUT SOME WOULD SPICE IT UP AND YES I WILL STILL WATCH ANYWAY

I would like a very valid reason for why we can't get a little bit more than we are getting. It will not take away from the show. I knw there is a reason, I just dont' get the reasoning...........

DeleteWell the simple answer is, because if they have those hot moments in every episode, they lose their impact. Then when you want to really wallop your audience - make 'em gasp with shock or delight - where do you take the story? How do you do it?
It's a necessary evil of the whole storytelling process that you should always leave your audience wanting that little bit more. They're definitely doing that!
So you see we simply can't have loads of Caskett moments in every episode. Nor can we have whole scenes devoted to them just being normal couple and doing normal couply things because sitting on the couch watching movies or tonsil tickling contests don't solve murders. ;-) What we have instead is snippets of domesticity and verbal references to it, along with a few small but significant moments to show they are a couple. If you think about it, there are "nods" to them being a couple in every episode and one or two episodes where their relationship dynamic is front and centre of the storytelling. Which, face it, is exactly the way the previous 4 seasons went.
In S5, when you actually stop and go through each episode, there is at least one moment in each one that refers to their relationship; whether it's the handshake thing, naughty talk of cosplay or him sweeping a hair from her face or a verbal comment about movie nights... even last weeks' - which was about as Caskett lite as it comes - there was a moment in one of the interogations that would (previously) have lead to Castle going all hot and cold all over at the thought of Beckett having club sex. It was played differently to how it might have been in the past that's all, and that's because in the past, he'd have been imagining what it would be like to slam her up against the wall and have sex with her; this Castle has actually done that! Well duh, of course his reaction will differ now because he doesn't have to imagine anymore and she's not flirting with him in the same way.
What we are missing a bit in S5 (so far) is much of the "play" between them; that flirty banter that created the tension... yes, the tension is kind of not the same. It's not a bad thing because that's how it is when you resolve things in an unresolved relationship. This is the basis of the whole "Moonlighting curse"; the thing that comes into play when the UST is ONLY about the physical (and I am speaking from a very personal real life experience here... yes I once got hit by my own real life Moonlighting curse ha ha). If there's a significant emotional connection there as well, resolving that just takes things from strength to strength (and, yep, I've been there too... turned out that one was my "always" guy). So I do believe that you can still have a spark with someone when you become lovers.
I do think that it is a little frustrating at the moment because it's taking the writing team a while their feet on how to bring that spark forward on screen; I've seen flashes of it here and there so I think they'll sort it out in the end; I think we just have to be patient and adjust to it being different now.
Keep the faith on it though; you can be absolutely certain there's going to be some utterly stunning Caskett stuff coming up. There will. Watch and wait.

DeleteEvery episode its not the point, i think most of the shippers understand, that this wouldnt be good. There is no request for every episode of hot moments! But at least one or two by total 23 episodes would work, i am sure.
