yeah, me too. I think she just walked into Castle and Meredith when Meredith try to seduce Castle. Kate was angry and run back into her room, or run out of the loft. Castle told Meredith that he and Beckett were now together, and run out to get Beckett back. I believe Caskett would make up in the end of the ep. Besides, we have the Valentine Ep, right? So no worry there.
But I hope we could see explore a bit of the dynamic between Beckett and Meredith. Meredith was described as impulsive and immature (somehow it scares me that Castle is the mature one in Castle/Meredith relationship.), but I believe she did understand boundaries, and comfortable with the fact that Castle was in a relationship. Castle married Gina before, and we never hear much complaints from Gina about Meredith, so I think we could safely assumed that she know what she should, and should not do. I think she seduced him just because she think Castle is still single.I hope we could see Meredith apologize to Beckett, or at least acknowledge Beckett as Castle's gf, in her own way, of course, or even telling Beckett something she didn't know about Castle.
Funny how the promos used to always be, "will they get together in this ep" and now they're "will they break up in this ep" as if people only watch for getting together/breaking up and not the journey in between. Maybe fans from a whole bunch of shows that are tired of being jerked around by promo departments should ban together and have a show that really is about the characters and not these "will they / won't they" (get together, now break up) questions. Castle's almost there but not quite. I know tv execs would think people would get bored but it seems there's enough fanfic out there that's a whole bunch of sweet/hot moments that you wouldn't really run out of interesting stuff. If the writing was good and the actors were all good, I'm sure they'd keep an interested audience.
I agree that promos should never be taken seriously as they hardly ever put things in the correct context. Sometimes even spoilers can fall into this category. A really good example of this was the hint from Andrew Marlowe before Probable Cause that Rick "may have" cheated on Kate. Predictably that lit a fire in the bellies of some fans who immediately assumed that they were going to turn Rick into a cheater and cause a break up with Kate. In reality all it turned out to be was a talk between Lanie and Kate about the evidence where Kate stood by her man despite the evidence in front of her, eventually discovering that 3XK was behind it.
I think it is going to be hilarious watching Rick try and deal with four women in his house at once. I'm sure he'll end up stumbling through a few awkward moments before Meredith leaves again after showing up and ruffling more than a few feathers. I'm sure Kate will be annoyed by Meredith's presence but in the end things will come right.
I have mentioned the fact that promos tend to take things out of context and some spoilers can give the wrong impression. Sometimes it makes you wonder if they're playing with fire dangling these types of carrots in front of people. I guess angsty type spoilers draw more attention than others so that's why they do them!
There is no way that Meredith walks around in granny panties--especially expecting them to be sexy. That is a level of suspension of disbelief I'm not sure I can reach.

The time is ALL that scares me. I have faith in Marlowe, Beckett and Castle will sort it out and learn something about themselves and each other, and we will all take a step forward with them. All I'm scared about is making it through the next 34 days without a new Castle. Going to download the books tonight to tide me over.
Not worried at all. As always, they're just trying to mess with our confidence. Meredith may be staying in the loft, but so is Beckett, and she's the one who will be sleeping in Castle's bed with him. Plus, we know they are together for Valentine's Day, which also means they will have been dating for more than 7 months, so... everything is going to be fine. It'll be a funny episode.
People should really relax, since Cloudy's promos fans have been going nuts thinking Castle will cheat on Beckett, I think by this time we should be past these insecurities. first of all that line "you're not the man i thought i knew" is out of the context, so we can't judge by what it seems. I think Meredith will try to seduce Castle, Althought she knows he is with kate. She will try to see if he is still the same guy and if he still feel atraction for her even only for one night stand, and if he can be loyal to beckett. I also think she will be joking all the time with beckett, until annoy her enough to split them up. Then at the end of the episode, i think they will have a friendly talk, where meredith will admit do kate that Castle is not the same guy and he must really likes her. That's what I was thinking. Becuase I mean she does question him a lot and his loyalty so I'm assuming she comes off angry, but then settles down as to play against him because maybe now she will really stop questioning him.

Yeah. Wouldn't it be great if Kate says this after Merideth says something mean to Rick? She would be comforting him. Like she was saying "You're not the man I thought I knew. You are much more. You are the greatest father on this planet. Don't let your lying, cheating ex-wife tell you otherwise." Or maybe she is talking about how much he has grown since the pilot episode.
The fact that she never doubted him during the 3XK when she had those e-mails makes me believe that the whole "you're not the man I thought I knew" line is out of context. We also have to remember that Kate is going to be staying at the loft too. Wouldn't be suprised if this episode is going to turn out to be a funny one, not dramatic at all like they what us to think.

I agree that Castle is fantastic this season and the Caskett relationship is on fire, but the ratings were way down compared to when Dancing with the Stars was the lead in. I'm pretty sure we will get a season 6 but this is going to lead to the haters coming out and blasting the show.

Didn't know who Peter Joshua Jackson was and have never seen Fringe! Actually, until today I've never heard of Fringe so I can't comment on the show. I just did a google search for Peter Joshua Jackson. I don't find Peter Joshua Jackson good looking at all. I've seen worst but he's not good looking either. As for Stana, she is just beautiful! Nathan is so HOT! I just love his voice, his face, his blue eyes, just everything about him!!
I hope that this episode explains why Castle got his divorces. I mean, I know that we know why his marriages ended (Merideth-cheated on him I believe & Gina-fought too much? Or something else maybe), but I want Kate to find out.
Also, I would like Alexis to have some strong dialogue in this episode. Not prophanity mind you, but rather defending Kate and Castle's relationship for example, or maybe telling Kate why her father's marriages ended.
Anyway, those are just some of my wishes for this episode, but I am sure that whatever happens will be spectacular, just like every other episode.
I agree that it's a great show...or WAS a great show. First four seasons were awesome, but I was expecting so much more for season 5. If you're going to build up a relationship for four years, make it genuine.

We managed to wait four months between seasons so one month between episodes should be a cakewalk! I thought the "Secret Santa" episode was amazing. There have been a few murmurs of discontent following the airing of this episode sadly. To each their own but I wonder if some of these people expect everything to be dropped on their laps in terms of the relationship. Andrew Marlowe and co. are allowing us to read between the lines and use our own imaginations, which to me is actually a lot more fun. They are also leaving us subtle things to pick up on which is genius. The chemistry between Nathan and Stana is as strong as ever and that last scene with the kiss in front of the Christmas Tree was marvellous as it had so much depth and meaning (I'm sure it took a few takes to do because the chemistry was hot enough to light the Christmas Tree on fire lol).
Looking forward to "Significant Others". Poor old Rick is going to have his hands full with four women under one roof! I'm sure Meredith will go there with the intention to go for another "top ten" with Rick, but will quickly discover that he's not available. Sounds like that stuff gets dealt with straight away. I find it interesting that Kate is choosing to stay at Rick's while her apartment is being fumigated. There is the option of crashing at her father's place while her apartment's unavailable, but clearly she is becoming more and more comfortable around Rick and is beginning to feel like she fits in with his family (evidenced by the fact she turned up at his place to celebrate Christmas with him and his family despite committing to her own tradition in the first place). I'm sure she'll be annoyed with Meredith gatecrashing their serenity but I don't expect her to be territorial or confrontational with Rick's ex-wife as that would be out of character for her. I'm sure Rick will allow Meredith to stay in the best of interests, as she is after all Alexis' mother and Alexis is going to be struck down with Mono (a.k.a Glandular Fever). Despite knowing that Rick is with Kate now I'm sure that won't stop Meredith from causing quite a lot of chaos before she leaves. I'd imagine that by episode's end once again Caskett will be better for the experience. I would love to see them talk about his two failed marriages by the episode's end, but since Andrew Marlowe is taking his time with these two I don't know if that will be discussed yet.
I liked the Xmas episode, I wish there has been more Caskett, because their scenes are unbelievably deep and emotional. But what we got was.. wow! Perfection! Castle is becoming such a mature and wise man, really learning how to love, really love his woman. But he's not losing his kid-at-heart wonderful attitude, which Beckett LOVES so much. And Kate is really learning to let go, to get each and every time out of her shell, because there is Rick waiting to catch her if she falls. And she is trusting him.
Said that, I am pretty sure this episode will be so much fun. Not one single time I believe that Kate will tell Castle that she is disappointed in him. On the contrary. I also think that Meredith aside from creating turbulence and being her annoying self, will confess something to Kate, something important. Maybe that Castle has never looked at her the way he looks at Beckett, or maybe even telling Kate that she is regretting throwing away everything she had with him (a marriage, a small child) just to pursue another ephemeral love interest and her acting career. Realizing that she did not raise her child, she lost a man who was committed to her, and that any other man she had afterwards proved to be incomparable to him. I am pretty sure that Meredith will leave telling Kate to hold tight on what she has with Castle.
So I think this episode will be lots of fun but also emotional and pivotal (another linchpin for Kate).
Even though I think this will be a fun episode, I don't believe Meredith is going to do any heart to heart " I regret this and that " speech to Kate...she is much too shallow for that. If anything, I think she's going to get Beckett alone and tell her of all the great sexy times she and Castle had and try to compare her sex life with him with Kate' s sex life with him. I can see her asking " does he still do this and that with his tongue?" and "does he still moan when you do this to him?" ...remember the first time they met and Meredith told Beckett SHE used to be his inspiration? She is extremely self-centered and will not want another woman competing with her " top ten" , no matter how happy she makes Castle. Again, I think it will be done in the funniest way possible and Castle and Beckett will be even stronger in the end, but I don't think we are going to get any deep feels from Meredith. Oh man, what if she calls him " kitten" the entire episode! Poor Beckett is going go bonkers!

In fact, I don't think she has moved in with Castle to take care of Alexis at all (Castle has taken care of his daughter her entire life, all of a sudden he needs Mer's help?) Mer is way too shallow.......I can see her talking sexy time more than deep........but, I also sometimes hate getting all excited about theories only to be immediately disappointed upon first watch (no mistletoe kiss for example). However, once I calm from my initial disappointment and re=watch 10x, I realize how in love I am with what they actually ended up doing!
I don't think this will be a funny Episode because when Kate say's you not the man I thought I knew she stands in Rick's Loft at the frontdoor in her jacket and she shakes her head something was going wrong it looks like she is leaving.I know they took things out of context in the promos but remember in after hours she said are we kidding ourselves it was about their relationship and she meant it.At the end of this episode i didn't feel like Kate was convinced after the talk from Rick.She is still insecure about him even in the christmasep Rick mentioned a latinfling.So I don't think AM makes this one so easy he said that things are getting complicated after midseason.So I have to admit that I am a little bit worried because when Kate says something like that something bad is going on.Don't get me wrong I like a little drama once in a while but I still remember the Limey after we saw the setphotos everybody said Rick would never have something with this blonde and then we got this painful episodes to watch.I was so happy after secret Santa and then they throw us this promo so I have to admit it ruins my holidays a little bit and left me worried until we see this episode and hopefully everything is ok.

I agree. The writers have done a really horrendous job. You have to be a die-hard "Caskett" groupie to think much of anything else. It is the most stupid, superficial, unbelievable tripe of a romance I've ever seen. Honestly, I'm in the break them up camp, not for the romantic tension but so they can see other people, and maybe with THOSE people the writers can enact believable romance.
The show has gotten TERRIBLE. But I keep watching in the hope that it will improve. I doubt I'll still be watching come next season.
Fringe is a garbage show. Speaking of Castle in the same breathe with Fringe is disrespectful. Castle and Beckett are adults with strong emotional ties. Just because we don't see a lot of physical interaction on screen doesn't mean it is not happening off screen. Castle is NOT a soap opera. I think AM and company are doing a fantastic job thus far.

Remember when the actress playing Meredith tweeted saying she will be on an episode, people were asking about the drama that she will bring, catfights etc. Stana tweeted saying catfights are petty and Beckett is not that kind of woman. Also in a short interview, the actress playing Meredith said that very quickly she learns of castle and beckett, so they move past it. So there, i dont think this will be much of a issue at all.
Kate may be annoyed and get a little snippy at Castle and that will be it. That scene everyone is worried about is most likely taken out of context. ABC loves to do this, we have been tricked into believeing somehting way too many times.
I know Meredith is shallow, but I think it would be nice if she and Kate actuallly found a way to get along, now that would be hilarious, becasue Castle will be so confused. And maybe Meredith says something in context with Alexis, like she never did know how to take care of a child, and then Kate tells her well its never too late to try. And they smile at each other. It would be good twist if Meredith actually ends up liking Kate, maybe because of the example conversation I stated above.
Having said that, I do believe the writers are running out of ideas as they keep throwing in scenarios where Kate seems insecure, or Castle talks about some random women from his past. Not to be a complainer, but we've seen this done many time before, Kate jealous is overused to be honest. Its time to move on. We know Castle had a colourful past, no need to talk about it. We talked about it for 4 years, now I want to see kates past. How many men has she dated, maybe an ex we havent seen should make an appeance, just so we can see the humour of Castle being jealous.
If you guys notice, with exception of Final Frontier and Swan Song(which were the 2 different type of episode, not our regular castle eps), every other episode, which makes it 7 out 9 episodes had a moment where Kate felt insecure or Castle had brought up an ex girlfirned or model or soemthing like that.

I think these insecurities are in Beckett's character and the playboy image (even if he's not a playboy anymore) is in Castle's character. So, my guess is they're dropping these in all the time to eventually show character growth--so it doesn't seem like everything's happy/Beckett and Castle aren't themselves in the new relationship and so that eventually they can move forward. At some point I'm guessing that either these insecurities/the playboyness will come to a point where it'll have to be directly addressed by the characters out loud or we will slowly see these characteristics leaving as the characters grow more slowly.
I have a theory that when Kate says,"Your not the man I thought I knew. It is NOT a statement I believe this is the end of a comment. For example I think she could be saying something like...."Castle if u dont tell ur ex wife ur in a committed relationship then ur not the man I thought I knew." Or something like that. Hi guys! before I begin i just want to apologize if my english is bad I'm from France so with that said, I have two things I want to say! First about that Castle vs. Fringe fight. I began following those two shows normally having a little preference with Fringe. I used to be more Fringe fan than a castle fan! Especially when they did the season with the parallel universe I though : "What a genius this JJ Abrams". But all began to change when they announced that this year will be the last season. Besides I was finally getting what I want from Castle season 4 then I began to be a huge castle fan waking up every tuesday between 2 and 5 o'clock in the morning just to see the new season 5 episodes two or three times in arrow! With that said, I continued to watch Fringe being more and more disappointed with the show maybe it's because JJ Abrams is focusing on his new show (revolution) that I follow too and by the way I think it's an awesome show! Or maybe because it is the last season of Fringe but I don't like where the show is going! So I'm not Fringe fan as I used to be! And I won't be sad when it stops. So thats it stop with this fight! Second, I want to put out a few of my theories of why Kate says "You're not the man I thought I knew". As many people have said it earlier, Kate has been insecure about many aspect of her relation with Castle, and now that she has to live with him, her mom, her daughter and now his ex-wife she starts to see a all new castle! And I'm pretty sure that they will fight about their different ways of living like they thought about Chrismas tradition. But keep in mind what said some of the spoilers! Kate and Alexis will begin to fight also! so here a thought maybe that she over heard Kate criticizing her folks and that she is the one who reassures her about her dad's feelings for her! With that said, I just want to point out the fact that since Always episode I've been longing for a real sex scene because since the beginning of season 5 we only had 4 kissing scene, 6 almost kissing scene, 1 hand holding scene! So I hope next year things will get a little more arresting ! Like they said when season 4 ended! So that's what I wanted to say! let's hope that I won't die waiting for the new castle episode that will come in 32 days! And i just want to thank everybody for your good theories!<3
I can't really understand why people keep having their wild theories based on the promo that had been shown. Good or bad speculations are still draws discuddions that lead to bickering.
Random question. I have been seeing this scene with who looks like castle in his loft with some girl, its a love scene very fast and I cannot make out the girl or what the situation is. I am thinking it is from season 2 but am not sure. What episode is this? I am interested to know. I didn't think there were any scenes of Castle getting together with another woman.

It's not hard to see which show is better and why Fringe has been canceled. The ratings speak for themselves. Last year, it was season 4 for both Fringe and Castle. Fringe was rated at #140 and had just over 4 million viewers per episode. Castle was rated #22 and had just over 12 million viewers per episode. It's not hard to see which show was better. Castle has over 8 million more viewers that would agree Castle is a much better show. Whoever these Fringe fans are please discuss your show on a Fox or Fringe site. Castle's bedroom is on the first level... Remember when Kate was sneaking out in The Morning After? Alexis' room is upstairs. That would take balls for Meredith to be in Castle's room but AWM does love to torture us. BTW, Kate Beckett posed the question on Twitter to further un-nerve our already fragile state whether or not we were sure it was her being kissed but I think some astute sleuths in our fandom put that shit to rest...fingers and toes crossed cuz if not, some f* cking tires are getting slashed... :)))-

The last time we saw them in that room was in the premiere you think by now they would have been back in his bedroom and we could see it so I lets hope this closes out the episode.
I can't believe some fans actually think it's anyone other than Kate, Rick would never throw away his relationship with her over Meredith, be silly to invite her to stay YES but cheat NO WAY.
That kiss looks like a really serious one between them, his face looks really heartfelt when he moves in, I think before this they had a serious conversation - may be he finally told her about why he and Meredith split up?
I don't expect the kiss to last no more than 5 to 10 seconds and i'm fine with that. I also don't think this kiss is in his bedroom. It looks like the precinct. I would love or the end scene to be Meredith leaving them alone in the interrogaton room and bumping into Gates who asks if she's seen Castle and Beckett and Meredith gets this really naughty smile on her face and says innocently, "oh, they're in there," as she points to the room where are couple are. Gates approaches the room and stops in her tracks as she watches them kissing. Fade to black...
I'd love for Gates to stew on it for an episode or two before confronting them. I'd love to see her throw hints out there that she knows about it, but doesn't come right out and says anythng.
I really don't care if this is played for angst or comedy! With this show i'm fine either way. Best show on tv, no matter what anyone says about the lack of kissing and passion. This show seriously doesn't need the shippers to sustain it. The chemistry is on fire without it. I won't complain if we get it, but it's not really something that I need to see all the time.

DeleteI think she just walked into Castle and Meredith when Meredith try to seduce Castle. Kate was angry and run back into her room, or run out of the loft. Castle told Meredith that he and Beckett were now together, and run out to get Beckett back. I believe Caskett would make up in the end of the ep. Besides, we have the Valentine Ep, right? So no worry there.
But I hope we could see explore a bit of the dynamic between Beckett and Meredith. Meredith was described as impulsive and immature (somehow it scares me that Castle is the mature one in Castle/Meredith relationship.), but I believe she did understand boundaries, and comfortable with the fact that Castle was in a relationship. Castle married Gina before, and we never hear much complaints from Gina about Meredith, so I think we could safely assumed that she know what she should, and should not do. I think she seduced him just because she think Castle is still single.I hope we could see Meredith apologize to Beckett, or at least acknowledge Beckett as Castle's gf, in her own way, of course, or even telling Beckett something she didn't know about Castle.

DeleteFunny how the promos used to always be, "will they get together in this ep" and now they're "will they break up in this ep" as if people only watch for getting together/breaking up and not the journey in between. Maybe fans from a whole bunch of shows that are tired of being jerked around by promo departments should ban together and have a show that really is about the characters and not these "will they / won't they" (get together, now break up) questions. Castle's almost there but not quite. I know tv execs would think people would get bored but it seems there's enough fanfic out there that's a whole bunch of sweet/hot moments that you wouldn't really run out of interesting stuff. If the writing was good and the actors were all good, I'm sure they'd keep an interested audience.
DeleteI agree that promos should never be taken seriously as they hardly ever put things in the correct context. Sometimes even spoilers can fall into this category. A really good example of this was the hint from Andrew Marlowe before Probable Cause that Rick "may have" cheated on Kate. Predictably that lit a fire in the bellies of some fans who immediately assumed that they were going to turn Rick into a cheater and cause a break up with Kate. In reality all it turned out to be was a talk between Lanie and Kate about the evidence where Kate stood by her man despite the evidence in front of her, eventually discovering that 3XK was behind it.

I'm sure he'll end up stumbling through a few awkward moments before Meredith leaves again after showing up and ruffling more than a few feathers. I'm sure Kate will be annoyed by Meredith's presence but in the end things will come right.
I have mentioned the fact that promos tend to take things out of context and some spoilers can give the wrong impression. Sometimes it makes you wonder if they're playing with fire dangling these types of carrots in front of people. I guess angsty type spoilers draw more attention than others so that's why they do them!

ReplyDeleteI think Meredith will try to seduce Castle, Althought she knows he is with kate. She will try to see if he is still the same guy and if he still feel atraction for her even only for one night stand, and if he can be loyal to beckett.
I also think she will be joking all the time with beckett, until annoy her enough to split them up.
Then at the end of the episode, i think they will have a friendly talk, where meredith will admit do kate that Castle is not the same guy and he must really likes her.
This is my opinion.. because its castle.. always ends fine ! :)

I happen to like Castle way more so I'm here, but I also watch Arrow, Gossip Girl (well back when it was good), Happy Endings, Once Upon a Time and Revenge which is crazy freaky good, but yeah seriously I don't get trolls I mean there is one thing to have love, but the issue with Fringe is it's very niche. I watched Season 1 when it was semi normal then it went way off, but I do appreciate JJ Abrams he's made some great shows, but he's also known for making the most complicated plots ever and a lot of his shows got cut early. Is this a joke people? First of all whoever just said Stana is ugly, needs their eyes checked asap because that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Also go to a "save fringe" show website if you want to talk about that. This is a Castle fan website, all things Castle! It is a phenomenal show, with a phenomenal cast, and again if you cant see that you obviously do not know good acting as well as good writing. Castle is moving forward full steam ahead, the reason why every episode gives the audience just a little bit more is because Andrew Marlowe is thinking ahead to the future, he wants Castle to have a long run and so do we. We don't want it all laid out on the table right away, we have been waiting many years for Caskett time and I will soak up every episode and have trust in Marlowe....ALWAYS!

ReplyDeleteWe managed to wait four months between seasons so one month between episodes should be a cakewalk! I thought the "Secret Santa" episode was amazing. There have been a few murmurs of discontent following the airing of this episode sadly. To each their own but I wonder if some of these people expect everything to be dropped on their laps in terms of the relationship. Andrew Marlowe and co. are allowing us to read between the lines and use our own imaginations, which to me is actually a lot more fun. They are also leaving us subtle things to pick up on which is genius. The chemistry between Nathan and Stana is as strong as ever and that last scene with the kiss in front of the Christmas Tree was marvellous as it had so much depth and meaning (I'm sure it took a few takes to do because the chemistry was hot enough to light the Christmas Tree on fire lol).
Looking forward to "Significant Others". Poor old Rick is going to have his hands full with four women under one roof! I'm sure Meredith will go there with the intention to go for another "top ten" with Rick, but will quickly discover that he's not available. Sounds like that stuff gets dealt with straight away. I find it interesting that Kate is choosing to stay at Rick's while her apartment is being fumigated. There is the option of crashing at her father's place while her apartment's unavailable, but clearly she is becoming more and more comfortable around Rick and is beginning to feel like she fits in with his family (evidenced by the fact she turned up at his place to celebrate Christmas with him and his family despite committing to her own tradition in the first place). I'm sure she'll be annoyed with Meredith gatecrashing their serenity but I don't expect her to be territorial or confrontational with Rick's ex-wife as that would be out of character for her. I'm sure Rick will allow Meredith to stay in the best of interests, as she is after all Alexis' mother and Alexis is going to be struck down with Mono (a.k.a Glandular Fever). Despite knowing that Rick is with Kate now I'm sure that won't stop Meredith from causing quite a lot of chaos before she leaves. I'd imagine that by episode's end once again Caskett will be better for the experience. I would love to see them talk about his two failed marriages by the episode's end, but since Andrew Marlowe is taking his time with these two I don't know if that will be discussed yet.

ReplyDeleteI liked the Xmas episode, I wish there has been more Caskett, because their scenes are unbelievably deep and emotional. But what we got was.. wow! Perfection!
Castle is becoming such a mature and wise man, really learning how to love, really love his woman. But he's not losing his kid-at-heart wonderful attitude, which Beckett LOVES so much.
And Kate is really learning to let go, to get each and every time out of her shell, because there is Rick waiting to catch her if she falls. And she is trusting him.
Said that, I am pretty sure this episode will be so much fun. Not one single time I believe that Kate will tell Castle that she is disappointed in him. On the contrary.
I also think that Meredith aside from creating turbulence and being her annoying self, will confess something to Kate, something important.
Maybe that Castle has never looked at her the way he looks at Beckett, or maybe even telling Kate that she is regretting throwing away everything she had with him (a marriage, a small child) just to pursue another ephemeral love interest and her acting career. Realizing that she did not raise her child, she lost a man who was committed to her, and that any other man she had afterwards proved to be incomparable to him.
I am pretty sure that Meredith will leave telling Kate to hold tight on what she has with Castle.
So I think this episode will be lots of fun but also emotional and pivotal (another linchpin for Kate).
Even though I think this will be a fun episode, I don't believe Meredith is going to do any heart to heart " I regret this and that " speech to Kate...she is much too shallow for that. If anything, I think she's going to get Beckett alone and tell her of all the great sexy times she and Castle had and try to compare her sex life with him with Kate' s sex life with him. I can see her asking " does he still do this and that with his tongue?" and "does he still moan when you do this to him?" ...remember the first time they met and Meredith told Beckett SHE used to be his inspiration? She is extremely self-centered and will not want another woman competing with her " top ten" , no matter how happy she makes Castle. Again, I think it will be done in the funniest way possible and Castle and Beckett will be even stronger in the end, but I don't think we are going to get any deep feels from Meredith. Oh man, what if she calls him " kitten" the entire episode! Poor Beckett is going go bonkers!

Mer is way too shallow.......I can see her talking sexy time more than deep........but, I also sometimes hate getting all excited about theories only to be immediately disappointed upon first watch (no mistletoe kiss for example). However, once I calm from my initial disappointment and re=watch 10x, I realize how in love I am with what they actually ended up doing!

DeleteI don't think this will be a funny Episode because when Kate say's you not the man I thought I knew she stands in Rick's Loft at the frontdoor in her jacket and she shakes her head something was going wrong it looks like she is leaving.I know they took things out of context in the promos but remember in after hours she said are we kidding ourselves it was about their relationship and she meant it.At the end of this episode i didn't feel like Kate was convinced after the talk from Rick.She is still insecure about him even in the christmasep Rick mentioned a latinfling.So I don't think AM makes this one so easy he said that things are getting complicated after midseason.So I have to admit that I am a little bit worried because when Kate says something like that something bad is going on.Don't get me wrong I like a little drama once in a while but I still remember the Limey after we saw the setphotos everybody said Rick would never have something with this blonde and then we got this painful episodes to watch.I was so happy after secret Santa and then they throw us this promo so I have to admit it ruins my holidays a little bit and left me worried until we see this episode and hopefully everything is ok.

Fringe is a garbage show. Speaking of Castle in the same breathe with Fringe is disrespectful. Castle and Beckett are adults with strong emotional ties. ReplyDeleteRemember when the actress playing Meredith tweeted saying she will be on an episode, people were asking about the drama that she will bring, catfights etc. Stana tweeted saying catfights are petty and Beckett is not that kind of woman. Also in a short interview, the actress playing Meredith said that very quickly she learns of castle and beckett, so they move past it. So there, i dont think this will be much of a issue at all.
Kate may be annoyed and get a little snippy at Castle and that will be it. That scene everyone is worried about is most likely taken out of context. ABC loves to do this, we have been tricked into believeing somehting way too many times.
I know Meredith is shallow, but I think it would be nice if she and Kate actuallly found a way to get along, now that would be hilarious, becasue Castle will be so confused. And maybe Meredith says something in context with Alexis, like she never did know how to take care of a child, and then Kate tells her well its never too late to try. And they smile at each other. It would be good twist if Meredith actually ends up liking Kate, maybe because of the example conversation I stated above.
Having said that, I do believe the writers are running out of ideas as they keep throwing in scenarios where Kate seems insecure, or Castle talks about some random women from his past. Not to be a complainer, but we've seen this done many time before, Kate jealous is overused to be honest. Its time to move on. We know Castle had a colourful past, no need to talk about it. We talked about it for 4 years, now I want to see kates past. How many men has she dated, maybe an ex we havent seen should make an appeance, just so we can see the humour of Castle being jealous.
If you guys notice, with exception of Final Frontier and Swan Song(which were the 2 different type of episode, not our regular castle eps), every other episode, which makes it 7 out 9 episodes had a moment where Kate felt insecure or Castle had brought up an ex girlfirned or model or soemthing like that.

We've been following this show for 4 years, we know!So yeah i guess to me the whole kate jealous and insecure is really overused...and even in the next one, there will be a hint of her being maybe jelaous or insecure, i dont know, but I do know that Im tired of seeing her question things. Lets swiths roles, let Castle get jealous. Nathan is so great at those scenes, remeber how he was ith demming, so why not use it.

I think these insecurities are in Beckett's character and the playboy image (even if he's not a playboy anymore) is in Castle's character. So, my guess is they're dropping these in all the time to eventually show character growth--so it doesn't seem like everything's happy/Beckett and Castle aren't themselves in the new relationship and so that eventually they can move forward. At some point I'm guessing that either these insecurities/the playboyness will come to a point where it'll have to be directly addressed by the characters out loud or we will slowly see these characteristics leaving as the characters grow more slowly.

ReplyDeleteFirst about that Castle vs. Fringe fight. I began following those two shows normally having a little preference with Fringe. I used to be more Fringe fan than a castle fan! Especially when they did the season with the parallel universe I though : "What a genius this JJ Abrams". But all began to change when they announced that this year will be the last season. Besides I was finally getting what I want from Castle season 4 then I began to be a huge castle fan waking up every tuesday between 2 and 5 o'clock in the morning just to see the new season 5 episodes two or three times in arrow! With that said, I continued to watch Fringe being more and more disappointed with the show maybe it's because JJ Abrams is focusing on his new show (revolution) that I follow too and by the way I think it's an awesome show! Or maybe because it is the last season of Fringe but I don't like where the show is going! So I'm not Fringe fan as I used to be! And I won't be sad when it stops. So thats it stop with this fight!
Second, I want to put out a few of my theories of why Kate says "You're not the man I thought I knew". As many people have said it earlier, Kate has been insecure about many aspect of her relation with Castle, and now that she has to live with him, her mom, her daughter and now his ex-wife she starts to see a all new castle! And I'm pretty sure that they will fight about their different ways of living like they thought about Chrismas tradition. But keep in mind what said some of the spoilers! Kate and Alexis will begin to fight also! so here a thought maybe that she over heard Kate criticizing her folks and that she is the one who reassures her about her dad's feelings for her! With that said, I just want to point out the fact that since Always episode I've been longing for a real sex scene because since the beginning of season 5 we only had 4 kissing scene, 6 almost kissing scene, 1 hand holding scene! So I hope next year things will get a little more arresting ! Like they said when season 4 ended!
So that's what I wanted to say! let's hope that I won't die waiting for the new castle episode that will come in 32 days!

Fringe was rated at #140 and had just over 4 million viewers per episode. Castle was rated #22 and had just over 12 million viewers per episode. It's not hard to see which show was better. Castle has over 8 million more viewers that would agree Castle is a much better show. Whoever these Fringe fans are please discuss your show on a Fox or Fringe site. I really don't care if this is played for angst or comedy! With this show i'm fine either way. Best show on tv, no matter what anyone says about the lack of kissing and passion.
